Welcome to Butterflies Class

     Butterflies Class

Mrs Warner, Mrs Horrell,

and Mrs Gooch

Welcome to Year 2!

1st December

Due to some technical issues, from this week, the homework TASK sheet will be posted on this page, on the school website, and the tasks themselves will be on Seesaw, ready for you to edit and upload back. The children will receive some basic training on how to 'write on' the sheet before uploading. Thank you for your patience while we all learn this new technology together!

17th November

Please note: from Wed 25th November onwards, Butterflies homework will only be uploaded onto Seesaw - it will not be uploaded here on the class page anymore.

22nd October

We've reached the end of the first half term, and the children have come so far with their learning already! Coming home today is your child's personal 'Seesaw' log in letter/code just in case we have to resort to home learning in the future. We had a long look at this in class and your child has already practised logging in. In addition, a small slip of paper with your child's Times Table Rock Stars user name and password has also been sent home as a reminder, in case the original letter got lost.

We hope you all enjoy the half-term holiday and look forward to seeing you on Monday 2nd November! Remember to keep up the good work with the reading!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the start of a new school year! We hope you had a lovely summer holiday and are feeling refreshed and ready to go.

Please note our P.E. day is Wednesday and you need to come to school wearing your trainers (no P.E. kit necessary at the moment). Please also remember your named water bottle, your reading book and reading record and a pencil case with everything you might need in it (including coloured pencils and a glue stick).

Finally, as much as possible, homework will be done online. Each Wednesday, the homework will be posted on this page (see Homework block below) and will usually be a MyMaths task (completed on the MyMaths website) and spellings that will be tested in school on a Monday morning. None of this needs to be brought into school, so we can all keep as safe as possible. Please ensure your child's homework is completed by Monday.

Looking forward to a great year with you all!
