Welcome to Butterflies Class

     Butterflies Class

Mrs Warner, Mrs Horrell,

Mrs Hopkins and Mrs Ritchie

  Welcome to Year 2!

3rd July - Hurray, I am so excited to see you all on Monday! I'm really looking forward to spending some time with you before we break up for summer! Just a couple of reminders: please remember your pencil case with writing pencils, coloured pencils (not pens), a rubber, a ruler, a sharpener that collects sharpenings (if possible), a glue stick, a packet of tissues and a water bottle with your name on. You should come in wearing school uniform but wearing trainers - no P.E. kit needed. Please also bring in any reading books or library books you have at home.

See you on Monday! Mrs W

15th June - Hi Butterflies, we hope you are well! Hopefully there will be a real opportunity to see you all again soon. In the meantime, the online work for Year 2 has been taken over by the Year 2/3 keyworker bubble staff at school, so that is why it may look different! Please do continue to email us your letters/photos/work as you wish to, because it is lovely to see all your hard work. Well done Butterflies, you are doing a brilliant job of learning at home and we are really proud of you!

1st June - We hope you all had a lovely half-term break and enjoyed the sunshine! Work for Butterflies Class has been set below...

7th May - Thank you so much to all the Butterflies who were able to join us on our two Zoom calls today! It was really great to see you all and please look out for the invitation for the next meeting!

You will need to bring an empty plastic cup with you to the next session and I'll try to teach you something fun :-)

5th May - As well as a new colourful grid full of activities to keep you busy and entertained, I've also uploaded some VE Day resources below so that you can find out about our upcoming Bank Holiday later this week.

4th May - Have you all seen our new staff video on the school You Tube channel called 'Message from St Swithun Wells'? Enjoy!

14th April - Wowee! We have just seen the AMAZING video that you all made with so much fabulous dancing and huge smiles in the sunshine! It was so lovely to see your happy faces - well done also to all the mummies and daddies who took the videos and pictures! Thank you for making this, it has really made our day today. Look below to watch it again yourselves...

We miss you all too and hope you and your families are keeping well. Enjoy the Easter holiday and check back online next Monday (20th April) for more activities to keep you busy!

27th March - Hello Butterflies! Just to let you know that I will be uploading NEW My Maths, Times Table Rock Stars and work EVERY weekend during term time only so that you have something new to tackle the following week. Remember to be working through the activities in the colourful grid below. If you or your parents have any questions for me, please email the school office and they will let me know. I'll do my best to get back to you quickly!

Please note that during the Easter holidays (starting next Friday 3rd April), you are only expected to keep up with your reading and log into TTRS to practise times tables regularly.

Now that schools have been closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, please see the work set below for children to complete at home, assuming they are well enough to do so. We hope you and your families stay well.
