The Queen of Hearts PICU Charity event was a great success raising £836.35 for the charity that supports children and families needing intensive care at Southampton Hospital. The charity was chosen because a couple of our families have benefitted from support from the charity and we wanted to show support and thanks for all the work they do.
In the morning, children had the chance to renew their toys, games and book collections by buying previously used and loved items. In the afternoon, parents, Fr Raffaele and parishioners joined us for a tea party where plenty of tea was drunk and cake eaten. The PICU mascot visited us as well.
Well done to the Year 6 organisers, to all the parents for their generous donations and lovely cakes, and a special thanks to Franklin Watts publishers for sending some super books that were added to the raffle and sale.
