St Swithun Wells Parish

St Swithun Wells is the patron saint of our school and of our parish. He was a teacher and he had a deep faith in Jesus who is truly present in the celebration of the Mass. In this Year of Faith we, as Catholics, are invited to deepen our relationship with Jesus and to believe in him with a deeper faith. This deepening relationship with Jesus is best enabled to happen when school, home and parish work together to help children and their families to discover and deepen their faith in Jesus. It is truly beautiful to see the children and families from St Swithun Wells School present and involved at Sunday Mass in the churches of our parish. It is not an easy time to be a Catholic, so we need one another for support and encouragement. We need the faith and courage of St Swithun Wells to help us to be faithful Catholics of the 21st century.
Let us ask St Swithun Wells to pray for us that we might build a strong Catholic community of school, home and parish. May we believe in Jesus more deeply that, one day, we might inherit the kingdom of heaven.
